Visit Wayne County’s role is to promote the county as a place to find a mix of culture and countryside. The county is known for its blend of small-town friendliness and big-city amenities in idyllic surroundings that make you want to take life just a little slower.

Challenges To Overcome

A lack of professionally shot video assets to promote the county.

Low awareness of the county’s tourism assets.

Our Strategy

Creation of three videos — year-round, summer and fall. Served on streaming TV, YouTube and social media. 60, 30, 15 and 06 second versions. Horizontal and vertical orientations.

Use video to reach and engage with young couples and families.

Use Northeast Ohio residents in the videos, not professional models, for an authentic feel.

Photography taken in conjunction with the video shoot to enhance the CVB’s photo assets. These professionally retouched images were used in their 2024 visitors guide, which debuted at the same time as the fall video.

Results

In total, the campaign had 759,000 impressions. The videos saw a combined 97.6% completion rate on streaming TV and 92% on YouTube, far above the 80% average on that platform.
