Clermont County CVB - Website Build

In 2023, Great Lakes Studios embarked on a mission to revolutionize, reimagine and redevelop DiscoverClermont.com, the digital home of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The prior site was laborious to update, scored poorly for Search Engine Optimization because it contained little descriptive text and featured few impactful visuals.  This case study highlights the impact of our targeted digital marketing strategies.

Industry: Non-profit / Tourist Information Center

Objective: Bring the Clermont County brand to life with an industry-leading online presence.

Challenges: Clermont County CVB’s staff is small and pulled in many directions. The client needed to maximize the output of their databases and form a single source of truth. 

Target Audience Focus: Leisure and sports travelers within a four-hour drive radius of Cincinnati.

360 Strategy: We sat down with the client to get immersed in their brand, marketing KPIs, stakeholder needs. This led to a smooth design process and a site that solved for their most important goals.

Sitemap: Using Google Trends data, we selected navigation nomenclature that resonates with site visitors. We shuffled the pages on the prior website into categorizations that better represented a typical customer journey, and recommended new content pages based on search volume.

Integrations: The client invested in several content platforms, including Simpleview for their CRM, CrowdRiff for user generated images and a third source for events. Clermont’s site became the first to use CrowdRiff to power listing images, allowing the client to manage their images in a single platform.

Great Lakes Studios delivered a site on time and on budget that met the client’s expectations. We trained the staff on the CRM and they find it much easier to use than their prior site. The client reports spending half as much time maintaining the new site as compared to their previous site. The website and visitor guide are unified in strategy, content and design.
